Pac-Man game sets Guinness World Record at Resorts World
The Guinness World Record for "largest digital video game display" was set Thursday night at Resorts World Las Vegas. Specifically, it was filmed at Resorts World, which features a tower that doubles as a 100,000-square-foot video screen.
The record was set by WWE superstars Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair and esports player Kyle "Bugha" Gilsdorf Giersdorf and Alex "Golden Boy" Mendez during a 10-minute game of Pac-Man following the annual eSports Awards.
Although the competition did not go well, the previous record of 25,000 square meters was easily surpassed.
"I actually didn't wear my glasses today, but the screen was so big that I didn't need them," Belair previously told MSN .
This is a much better publicity for Resorts World than the last time the tower display made headlines.
In August, Wynn XS nightclub general manager Nico Samarxhi rejected an Australian high-roller's request that the club open an hour early just for him. The high-roller threatened Samarthi and his family, resulting in him being banned for life from the club.
The high roller then walked across the Las Vegas Strip to Zouk nightclub owned by Wynn rival Resorts World, where he spent more than $200,000 on drinks and table packages.
As part of one of the packages, he wrote a text and appeared briefly on a giant video screen. The message read: "Food stamps for NIKO."
This offer is no longer available at Resorts World.
