The Geissens in BILD - "Our lives are more captivating than those of the Kardashians"
At 11:04 a.m. on Monday, Carmen Geiss (59), along with her daughters Davina (20) and Shania (19), joined her husband Robäääärt (60) on the red sofa. As stars of the RTLZWEI series "Die Geissens - Eine schrecklich glamouröse Familie" (Mondays, 8:15 p.m.), they entertain millions.
This talent for entertainment is in their blood, as the Geissens hail from Monaco but choose to live in Cologne.
Robert, admittedly, is a bit more blunt about it: "We've just read through all the '50 Shades of Grey' books!" Robert says candidly about the erotic bestseller: "I ended up taking the heat for it."
They've been together for 42 years, and their 30th wedding anniversary is coming up in October. Cameras have been following their lives since 2011. Since they're so down-to-earth, they wonder which celebrities they'd like to spy on through a keyhole?
Carmen discloses that her American TV crew had to cancel filming due to the Kardashians. "They've caused us some issues lately in Miami. They were filming where we wanted to be. If the Kardashians are in a restaurant, they shut it down immediately. We lost a few reservations because people thought we'd also come with a broadcast van and a massive entourage."
The Geissens don't have those grandiose requirements. There's nothing stopping Carmen, Davina, Shania, and Robert and the rest from making an event out of just the four of them.
