Eintracht's Careless Brilliance - Once more, Ebimbe steps in to salvage the EURO.

The 23-year-old midfielder, Junior Dina Ebimbe, scored the crucial goal in the 1-1 draw against Gladbach, securing Eintracht's participation in the Conference League. Even if they end the season in 7th place, it's highly possible they might also make it to the Europa League. In a wild scenario, they could even qualify for the Champions League if Dortmund win the top flight.

Exactly one year ago, Ebimbe's decisive goal in a 2-1 victory against Freiburg in the final matchday ensured that his team Eintracht would participate in the Conference League for the first time.

Kudos to you, Ebimbe! In German: Bravo, well done!

The player from Paris remains one of Eintracht's biggest mysteries. Some might even call him a sloppy genius.

When he focuses, Ebimbe can perform magic, like the goal in Gladbach after a brilliant one-two with striker Ekitiké. But when he seems uninterested, he can play like an amateur, as seen at 0:1, where he mishandled the ball twice, allowing Scally to set up the goal for Hack unchallenged. "We need to defend better," said coach Dino Toppmöller (43), "he took the run too late."

As early as the 9th minute, the coach almost replaced Ebimbe. "But I know my boys. Junior always has amazing moments. With the goal, he earned himself a few more minutes of playing time... It's incredible how he waited an instant before scoring until the space opened up."

However, before the 1-1 equalizer (35'), Ebimbe had already missed a major scoring opportunity from close range. In a time when Eintracht dominated the game and their opponents, he surprised everyone with an inexplicable back pass - right into the path of Gladbach's Cvancara, who almost scored the second goal at 2-1.
