A hidden massacre unfolded in the city on a Wednesday night: Four male and two female corpses were cruelly ejected from a moving vehicle onto the street, as per recent news pieces.
Alongside this, two more innocent civilians lost their lives, one in the tourist-friendly district, and a total of three victims received injuries due to gunfire. Authorities are trying to determine if these victims were random citizens or opponents from warring cartels.

Since 2006 when an unprecedented military operation against drug cartels started, the country has witnessed over 450,000 deaths, with an estimated 100,000 others believed to have gone missing. These numbers only reflect the official records.
The escalating crime rates are not just an election issue; they loom large over the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections on June 2. Claudia Sheinbaum, representing the ruling party of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, emphasizes a more holistic approach to curbing crime.
Her opponent, Xochitl Galvez, push for harsher measures against the criminals themselves.
