Domestic clash with Elversberg awaits - Nuremberg skips player goodbyes.
In spite of a potentially huge shift coming up in the summer for 1. FC Nürnberg, there won't be any emotional goodbyes to players during their last home match against Elversberg. This means that players like Christopher Schindler (34), Florian Hübner (33), Nathaniel "Nene" Brown (20), and Can Uzun (18) won't be gifted bouquets or pictures prior to kickoff.
Understandably, this choice makes sense from a sporting standpoint. However, it becomes even more disappointing knowing that the FCN still faces relegation concerns on matchday 37. Rebbe expressed that if it wasn't for this issue, there would've been an official send-off for these players during the game.
Coach Cristian Fiél (44) also feels remorse about not being able to properly bid farewell to the applicable individuals due to the relegation complications: "I find it truly regrettable that this can't take place on Saturday. But the recent weeks haven't developed as we all envisioned. That's why the club has come to this decision."

Honoring Morlock
FCN icon Max Morlock would've turned 99 this Saturday. The 1954 world champion and two-time national champion (1948 and 1961) passed away much too soon on September 10, 1994.
Women versus Bayern
The FCN women face German champions and cup finalists Bayern Munich on Sunday at 2 p.m. The initial game was an amazing 1-1 at the club.
