Novomatic obtains significant contract from America.
The expansion of Novomatic in the US market is now more tangible. During a recent gaming industry conference in Las Vegas, the Austrian company solidified a significant deal with the Foxwoods Resort Casino. Novomatic USA will now equip the popular Connecticut casino with multifunctional terminals.
This move brings Novomatic closer to its ambition of being a global leader in gaming technology. Foxwoods stands as a well-known land-based casino in the United States. The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe operates Foxwoods Resort Casino, home to over 4,500 slot machines across six casinos.

The deal, set to span several years, includes 54 "Electronic Live Table Games" from Novomatic. These devices can simulatenously play various games, such as slots, blackjack, and roulette, depending on the configuration.
At Foxwoods, they will utilize "Novo Line Novo Unity II" units. The plan is to introduce baccarat and blackjack with real dealers initially, letting players choose from several options and viewing the gameplay on screens. In the last quarter of 2017, 30 such terminals will be installed, with an additional 24 coming after.
Successful G2E Expo for Novomatic
The G2E Expo in Las Vegas from October 2-5, 2017, marked a significant milestone for Novomatic. For the first time, they presented their goods along with the newly acquired Australian gambling machine manufacturer, Ainsworth. Ainsworth is already a familiar face in the US gaming market and is expected to support Novomatic in their expansion. However, the Foxwoods deal may evolve from an existing partnership. Since 2015, the Novomatic subsidiary Greentube has been collaborating with the casino on "Social Casinos." These are gambling games designed for online platforms, where lower stakes and winnings take priority over the overall gaming experience. This type of gameplay has become popular in the US, partly due to social networks and smartphone apps.
Novomatic won the contract not only for the quality of their technology, but also due to their presence as operators. According to Foxwoods' Wayne Theiss, this has earned Novomatic the trust in the excellence of their products:

Novomatic aims to persuade other US players of their products. This is their current strategy. As opposed to Europe, where Novomatic operates over 2,000 of their own slot machine casinos and owns about 260,000 gaming machines, their American endeavor is confined to supplying technology alone. This strategy drastically differs from that in Europe, where Novomatic sidesteps the burdensome introduction of a new brand in the US by specializing in being a technology supplier.
