Novomatic gears up for its upcoming anniversary event.
The Austrian gaming company Novomatic AG from Gumpoldskirchen is counting down the days until it celebrates its 40th anniversary. At the beginning of this special year, the European gaming market leader will showcase their entire product range at the ICE Totally Gaming trade fair in London, which takes place from February 4-6. What can guests expect from the stand?
Vintage area in the works
The gaming powerhouse, Novomatic, intends to showcase the full range of their products at the ICE Totally Gaming trade show this year, to commemorate the 40 years since the company was founded back in 1980. To accomplish this, they are preparing a detailed exhibition of their offerings at the world's largest gaming industry event. The exhibition will focus on "innovative gaming solutions, content, and hardware for different sectors and markets of the global gaming industry." Novomatic's CEO, Harald Neumann, explains, "We will look back at our achievements so far and celebrate our successes together." The trade show stand at ICE will reflect the company's anniversary in every aspect. Neumann further adds:
"ICE 2020 is a very unique trade fair for NOVOMATIC, especially since we are celebrating our 40th anniversary this year. We will not only present our newest product portfolio but will also showcase the highlights of the last 40 years together with our customers and partners."
With this in mind, the show won't only feature the latest technological advancements from the present and future, but will also give a glimpse into Novomatic's past achievements. To accomplish this, a special "vintage area" will be set up where classic products and landmark moments of the past 40 years can be viewed and appreciated. The management considers this area a way of thanking the industry, business partners, and customers. Therefore, everyone will be warmly welcomed with "traditional Austrian hospitality."
Innovations from every branch
As always, all of the company's upcoming innovations will be a highlight at the trade fair stand. Novomatic's product portfolio covers land-based casino products, online casino and sports betting solutions, biometric technologies for advanced cash handling, secure access control, and data analysis. Jens Einhaus, Vice President of International Sales, recently expressed his eagerness to present these innovations at ICE in a press release:
"We are expecting considerable growth in all sectors of our land-based segment this year due to our impressive new developments and retro games. I'm really excited to introduce all the new products to our customers at ICE. Visitors should definitely take advantage of our outstanding ICE 40th anniversary deals."
Ainsworth to join the celebration
Australian technology supplier Ainsworth Game Technology will also be displaying its products in the Novomatic exhibition space, spanning over 5,000 square meters. Their latest content and the newest multi-game mixes will be on show. Ainsworth gained considerable success last year with their Quick Spin game series, which now contains several more titles. They will be available in both single and multi-screen versions this year.
Novomatic acquired a 52% share in Ainsworth, spanning across various locations worldwide, in the beginning of 2018. The primary focus of the acquisition is on the North and South American markets. The newly established U.S. sports betting market, legalized since May 2018, is of particular interest to the owner of Admiral. Consequently, the casino mogul reported record H1 revenue in September 2018, despite initial regulatory obstacles.
Sports betting and cash management
Sports betting solutions will be a significant focus at ICE 2020. The "NovoPrime Sports" system, developed in collaboration with Novomatic's betting partner Sportradar, will be presented under the banner Novomatic Sports Betting Solutions (NSBS). The latest offerings from Admiral and Admiralbet, including market-specific cash management solutions, will also be introduced.
It's worth noting that Novomatic hired the German company Löwen Entertainment (Bingen am Rhein) to develop the latest cash management systems. Löwen Entertainment has been under the private limited company's umbrella since 2003 and is owned by CEO and founder Johann Graf. The Löwen Group unveiled their 2018 CSR report back in June, providing insight into the "processes behind the game."
The Löwen products provide straightforward deposit and withdrawal options for various gaming establishments worldwide. The "NOVO Cash X6" money changer is one of their latest offerings, which caters to any application, whether in gaming halls, sports betting shops, or casinos. With the highest security standards, it provides a capacity to dispense an astonishing 15,000 banknotes.

Thinking about it, no obstacles appear to impede the 40th anniversary's success. Considering how well Novomatic has been doing, they can even look back at 2019 with satisfaction, despite their ties to the Strache scandal. In June, the Group won the World Exhibition Stand Award for a second consecutive time. This yearly award is given out by a group of 26 impartial experts who evaluate various aspects, such as the number of guests visiting the individual ICE stands. In 2019, Novomatic attracted an astonishing 28,000 visitors.
In November, Novomatic was also the first Austrian company to receive the highly coveted G4 certificate from the Global Gaming Guidance Group. This certificate honors exceptional accomplishments in the realm of player protection. Only after passing rigorous examination criteria can a company receive this certificate. It's yet to be determined if the Group will continue to excel in their anniversary year.
