Nobu hotel at Caesars Atlantic City now accepting reservations after $240 million renovation
Caesars Atlantic City's Nobu hotel is taking reservations as the casino company's $240 million renovation of the Boardwalk resort nears completion.
Through its merger with Eldorado Resorts in 2020, Caesars Entertainment agreed to invest $400 million in its Atlantic City casinos. The condition was part of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission's approval of the merger between the two companies.
Caesars operates its namesake casino as well as Harrah's and Tropicana. Much of the spending is on the Atlantic City Caesars, which opened in 1979 and is more than 40 years old and in need of major upgrades.
Part of Caesars Atlantic City's $240 million redevelopment plan includes converting the top three floors of the resort's Centurion Tower into Nobu-branded guest rooms. The Roman decoration on these floors has been abandoned in favor of Japanese-style patterns, in keeping with the Nobu hotel brand.
Nobu is named after its namesake, Japanese celebrity chef and restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa, who co-founded Nobu Hospitality in 1994 with actor Robert De Niro and film producer Meir Teper. The opening weekend rooms at the Nobu Hotel in Atlantic City were pretty pricey. Stay in a Standard King Room Friday-Sunday, May 5-7. Prices in January are $608 per night, plus resort fee and tax. The total portfolio, including the $28 per night resort fee and hotel occupancy tax, is $1,460.38 or $730.19 per night. An equivalent king room on a Caesars-branded floor is just $204 per night (excluding fees and taxes).
On weekends later in January, the same room at the Nobu Hotel dropped to $553 per night. The Nobu Hotel has 85 rooms and suites over three floors, all with sea views.
Caesar Upgrade
Caesars Atlantic City's renovations also bring a new guest experience, with Caesars officials saying the highlight is a completely renovated hotel lobby.
The Pool at Caesars, a rooftop pool complex above the boardwalk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, is also undergoing renovations, though the facility won't open until summer 2024.
Caesars said its $240 million investment in Caesars Atlantic City and $160 million in upgrades to Harrah's and Tropicana demonstrated its "continued commitment to New Jersey's casino city." promise".
