No blooms for Ernst and Scott

Stefan Leitl's team (46) must acquire more points than Kiel does in Elversberg in order to secure fifth place. Achieving fourth place is just possible through a win if HSV also experiences a loss against Nuremberg.

Goodbye to Hannover 96 - No blooms for Ernst and Scott

Hannover 96 claims the sixth position.

"As athletes, our goal is to come out on the field and win," states Leitl. "We still have a chance to go up as long as everything falls into place." To keep their focus, Hannover will postpone the farewell celebration until after the final match.

Sebastian Ernst (29), whose contract ends soon, remains uncertain about his future. A potential extension has yet to be determined, thus there's an even possibility that he'll remain. Hence, they decided against a formal farewell gathering.

Floral gifts for some but not for all!

Christopher Scott (21), on loan from Antwerp, is bound to leave. There isn't a possible permanent transfer but even a further loan seems unlikely now. Scott won't even be present on Sunday, as he plays simultaneously with the U23s at St. Pauli II.

However, lots of flowers will still be given...

Julian Börner (33) retires from professional football, wrapping up his career by playing one last season as a player-dad with Hannover's U23 squad.

The goal scorer, Cedric Teuchert (27), departs Hannover to join a team in the US on a complimentary transfer. Additionally, Yannik Lührs (20) bids his farewell. After spending six years with the team, the U20 international moves down to Dortmund II in the 3rd division for a fee of near 400,000 euros.

Loan players Muhammed "Mo" Damar (20) and Antonio Foti (20) also part ways. Damar returns to his parent club, Hoffenheim, while Foti goes back to Frankfurt.
