Primary combat in the Fame Fighting Contest - Nikola shares the story behind his swift three-hit KO.
The main highlight of the event was the swift move from Jakub Merlan-Jarecki (28, "Prominent separated") that ended the match for the heavily inked Nikola. As a genuine sportsman, professional soccer player Jakub approached him to check on his condition and express admiration for his opponent. Nikola acknowledged, "Jakub performed really well and was properly prepared."
Nikola has no interest in a rematch: "I don't want to have anything else to do with it!"
Boxing is more painful than tattoos
Nikola has had enough of boxing
"The doctor told me I was fine. I could return to partying the very next day." However, Nikola comes to terms with the outcome and addresses his future in combat sports. "I recognized that these types of athletic endeavors aren't suited for me," he confessed. "I'm just too compassionate for that."
Nikola had no experience in fighting before this incident. "And violence is not something that comes naturally to me. I could never hit another person. So I am and will remain the same."
His loss was a "major surprise." The tattooed model confessed, "I anticipated the challenge, but it was a lucky hit that ended it all. And I'll admit, I was hardly prepared, getting in shape only for a week. I should have trained more."
Kate Merlan delivers lethal blows
Even so, Nikola was quick to point out that even experienced fighters could be quickly knocked out, regardless of how ready they are. "That's not a statement about sports, it's a fact," Nikola clarified.
