Nikki Haley wins Koch Network's 2024 Republican primary endorsement

Nikki Haley, the 29th U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and former South Carolina governor, has won the political support of the powerful Koch Network to run in the 2024 Republican primary.

It's a major blow to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' 2024 ambitions: The Koch Network is a staunch supporter of the Republican nominee but opposes Donald Trump President Donald Trump is lending his political influence to Haley.

The Koch family is one of the wealthiest families in the United States.Forbes estimates her net worth at around $118 billion, compared to Charles Koch and his late brother David Koch, who each had a fortune of $59 billion. The brothers' father, Fred Koch, founded Koch Industries in 1940 as an oil refinery. The multinational conglomerate is currently the second-largest privately held company in the United States, behind Cargill.

The Koch brothers have been staunch supporters of the Republican Party for decades. The Koch network is poised to bet big on a new face representing the Republican Party in 2024 and pump enough money into the candidate's war chest to prevent Trump from becoming the party's presidential nominee for a third election.

The Koch network believes it has found the candidate in Haley. The Koch network plans to donate millions of dollars to her campaign through its super political action committee (PAC) Action for Americans for Prosperity.

AFP President and CEO Emily said: “AFP Action is honored to fully support Nikki Haley as she provides America with the tools to turn the tide in this political era, win the Republican primary and win next year’s Chances of beating Joe Biden in November." Seidel.

"She is well-positioned to lead the policy agenda to address the biggest challenges facing our country and help ensure that our country's best days are ahead," Seidel continued. "With the foundation and data capabilities we bring to this race, no Other organizations are better able to help it.”

Trump’s response

The feud between the Koch family and Trump has been going on for years. The former president and 2024 Republican front-runner issued a statement through his campaign communications manager in response to the Koch network's support of Haley.

No matter how much dark money George Soros, the Democrats, and the “Never-Trumpers” collaborate with the endless war swamp creatures in Washington, no amount of dark money will be able to stop the “MAGA” movement or President Trump from becoming the Republican nominee And defeat crooked Joe Biden. "Trump spokesman Steven Chang said.

Trump remains the favorite on the Republican ticket. Shares were trading at 75 cents when PredictIt Markets asked "Who will win the 2024 Republican presidential nomination?" Haley was second with 17 cents.

In 2012, the Koch family donated $36.6 million to Republican candidates through Americans for Prosperity, much of it to Mitt Romney as he unsuccessfully tried to oust President Barack Obama from the White House.

The Koch family slashed political donations after Trump won the party's endorsement in 2016. AFP has donated just $13.3 million this year, with all of the money going to congressional campaigns, not Trump.

AFP donated $47.7 million to Republicans during the 2020 election. But again, most of the money is going to candidates not named Trump. AFP spent $69.5 million in last year's midterm elections.

Casino billionaire not running in primary

Koch Industries will soon enter the commercial casino industry when the Fontainebleau opens on the Las Vegas Strip next month.

In February 2021, Koch Real Estate Investments, a subsidiary of Koch Industries, purchased the long-stalled casino project for an undisclosed amount. Koch provided the financing to complete the resort and will lease the building to Jeffrey Soffer's Fontainebleau development.

PhD. Miriam Adelson, another casino landlord who is a staunch financial supporter of the Republican Party, said she would wait until the primary process is completed before opening up her deep pockets. Adelson is the widow of Las Vegas Sands founder, former chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson. Unlike the Kochs, the Adelsons have been strong supporters of Trump. The couple donated more than $500 million to Republicans between 2011 and 2020. Adelson died in early 2021, but his wife pledged to continue his political activities.
