NFL's Alvin Kamara and Chris Lammons Receive Three-Game Suspensions.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chris Lammons will miss the first three games of the upcoming NFL season due to a confrontation in Las Vegas.

Kamara, 28, admitted that he made a mistake during the altercation that took place at Drai’s After Hours, located at the Cromwell Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Speaking to CNN, Kamara said, "I made a bad decision, but I'm a man. I've stood on and taken accountability for everything I've done in my life. I was wrong, and I'm embarrassed. I let down the Saints, my family, myself, this city, and the NFL."

Although they can participate in preseason practices and games, Kamara and Lammons will rejoin their respective teams' active rosters on September 25. Both players violated the league's personal conduct policy, according to the NFL.

Plea Agreement

Kamara and Lammons have reached a plea agreement after the violent incident at the casino in February 2022. Under the agreement, both players must complete 30 hours of community service. They will also pay Darnell Greene, the victim, $105,196.17 for his medical expenses, as reported by TMZ.

Kamara and his companions were initially charged with more serious crimes such as battery with substantial bodily harm and conspiracy to commit battery.

The assault started when Kamara allegedly prevented Greene from entering an elevator outside the nightclub.

Settled Lawsuit

A civil lawsuit filled by Greene against Kamara has also been settled. However, details of the settlement have not been disclosed. It did mention an apology from Kamara to Greene. "Please accept my sincere apologies for the events of February 5, 2022, in Las Vegas. I'm glad we could get past this unfortunate situation, and I wish you the best for the future," Kamara said.

Greene initially requested more than $10M in his civil court lawsuit filed in Louisiana. He claimed he was assaulted, punched, kicked, and chased. He also fell and hit his head against a wall, losing consciousness, and suffered a "disfiguring facial fracture" and blunt trauma to his head.

Two other suspects, Percy Harris and Darrin Young, agreed to plea deals and pleaded no contest to battery. Each will serve 50 hours of community service or pay a $500 fine. Additionally, they cannot visit the Las Vegas Strip for six months. Initially, the four suspects pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit battery and battery resulting in substantial bodily harm for the attack during Pro Bowl Weekend at Las Vegas's Allegiant Stadium, with Kamara taking part in the game.

This incident happened in Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium, where Kamara participated in the Pro Bowl.
