It's his preference to transform into a TikToker. - NFL rookie's career comes to an end.

Wow, that was fast!

The rookie offensive lineman had just signed his contract with the Green Bay Packers on April 30. He was set to receive $2.8 million over the course of the next three years, but only if he made it onto the team's roster every time.

However, things have changed now.

As Jones revealed on his YouTube channel, he had injured his back and therefore decided to retire. He explained that it was the "best possible choice."

In the video, Jones said, "You either keep playing and risk getting sacked, which could further harm your back, or you stop playing and protect your back forever. I've decided to stop playing football. There are some medical reasons for it. Sure, I could have carried on, but it's just crazy."

He didn't provide a specific reason for his unexpected retirement.

Instead of playing football, Jones now plans to focus on his career as an influencer. According to US media, he's focused on TikTok. He has a following of 350,000 people across various social media platforms.

Jones played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, and he was awarded the Joe Moore Award for the best offensive lineman in both 2021 and 2022. However, he wasn't selected in the NFL Draft.

The Packers still signed him after the draft and gave him a contract. He received a $10,000 signing bonus, and the Packers promised to pay him $100,000 during his first season, even if they released him. As an undrafted rookie, it's not unlikely that Jones would have been let go.

It seems unlikely that Jones will get to keep the money.
