Neymar Displays Spendy Timepiece Featuring Mobile Roulette Wheel
Brazilian footballer Neymar is famous for flaunting luxury items and frequenting high-end casinos. One of his recent purchases combines these two interests.
Neymar, a 32-year-old professional footballer, is one of the wealthiest athletes in the world. The Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal, pays him €150 million (approximately $163 million) each year and recently shelled out €90 million to his previous club, Paris Saint-Germain, in France's Ligue 1.
Known for his grandiose fashion sense, Neymar's lavish lifestyle extends beyond the field.
At a recent boxing match in Saudi Arabia featuring Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, Neymar displayed his newest acquisition - a timepiece from Jacob & Co., a New York-based luxury watchmaker.
$280K Timepiece
During the event, Neymar showcased his Jacob & Co. watch, which includes a revolving roulette wheel and a moving pill. The watch retails for approximately $280,000. It's crafted from 18K rose gold and features curved anti-reflective sapphire crystals on the face.
Jacob & Co. has an impressive list of clientele, including David and Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Sofia Vergara, and Sean "Puffy" Combs. Drake, another fan of casinos, also buys from the brand.
Neymar has a history of big-ticket purchases and enjoys gambling in casinos.
Last year, Neymar skipped PSG's title match, claiming an injury, to attend the F1 Monaco Grand Prix. He then played poker in the Monte Carlo Casino before posting a video on Instagram showing him winning at online roulette.
Before Monaco, Neymar played online casino games and lost around €1 million. While this would have been devastating for most, he laughed as his losses increased to seven digits.
In addition to roulette, Neymar often plays poker, although his success in the game is not as impressive as on the football pitch.
From the poker tournaments he's attended, Neymar has only amassed $32,131 in live poker winnings. His best finish came at the R$7,000 (approximately $1,362) No Limit Hold'em - High Rollers Event during the 2018 Brazilian Series of Poker in Sao Paulo. There, he ranked 6th out of 288 participants, winning $21,072.
Neymar's Moves
Though it's speculated that Neymar could move to Miami in the future, his €300 million contract with Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia keeps him there until 2025. In March 2023, he was spotted in Miami with the Beckhams. David Beckham is a co-owner of the Major League Soccer team, Inter Miami.
Beckham helped recruit Lionel Messi to Miami last year. However, Messi is approaching the end of his career.
Rumors suggest Neymar may join Miami, but the pricey transfer fee from Al Hilal may postpone this move until his contract with Al Hilal ends.
