Troubling visuals emerge in Saxony. - Nazi uniform-clad gathering at beer garden
One Father's Day, nine individuals drove through Dresden in a Kübelwagen turned into a Wehrmacht car, sporting Nazi attire and providing the Nazi salute. Recently, strange images have surfaced from a beer garden near Hoyerswerda (Saxony). These images depict: A gathering of people donning Wehrmacht uniforms, with the swastikas on their garments temporarily taped over.
Unusual occurrence in the beer garden
As if it were a routine occurrence to roam around in uniforms, this group - including some in Nazi attire - also embarked on a tour of the Bautzen district on Thursday.
Initially, it was reported that up to 40 individuals, who claimed to be "military friends from Radeberg," were present. After having a drink, a few of them left. "They seemed to just be passing through," the witness explains.

Emblems on the uniforms
However, around 20 people remained. "One of them had a German shepherd with him and was carrying a holster," mentions the observer. "We couldn't make out if there was a weapon in it. But it was horrifying."
Police probe

"Several individuals wearing anti-constitutional symbols on their clothing were allegedly noted at the back of a lorry," says police spokesperson Anne Wieland. Nevertheless, the police failed to locate anyone else. Later, a patrol unit was able to spot a "gathering of vehicles resembling the given description."
Police spokesperson Wieland: "No one on the vehicle was sporting an anti-constitutional symbol or possessed prohibited items." However, the state security is looking into the matter.
Lately, right-wing extremists in Saxony have been flaunting Nazi symbols openly. In Bautzen, a few individuals in a beer tent performed the Nazi salute at the Oktoberfest, while neo-Nazis hosted a barbecue accompanied by swastika flags near Döbeln a year ago. Furthermore, a group of right-wing extremists wearing steel helmets, Wehrmacht license plates, and yelling slogans cruised through Dresden last Thursday.
