Regional league sees frenzied player movements - National player joins Chemie Leipzig team
A player who has previously been with 1. CfR Pforzheim and was raised in the youth system of Lok Leipzig, now returns to Leipzig. This Mozambican national team member recently participated in the World Cup qualification matches against Somalia and Guinea.
Chemie Leipzig Signs National Player
Ratifo spent the last five years at 1. CfR Pforzheim, where he scored 39 goals in 157 games. Now, he joins Chemie Leipzig and shares his excitement about the team, "I'm thrilled by the appreciation I received during our conversations. Standing alone on the empty Alfred Kunze-Sportpark field, you can feel the tradition and history that the stadium and club exude. I'm honored to be a part of it moving forward. Alfred Kunze's motto, 'He who doesn't give everything, gives nothing!', is a sign that I'm in the right place."
Hans Jerke, from Chemie Leipzig's sporting management, is confident in Ratifo's skills, "We believe in his athletic abilities and know that he will significantly improve our offense. Ratifo is not only speedy and agile, but also sturdy. His experience from international matches, along with his friendly, amicable demeanor, will make us very happy." Jerke further comments, "Ratifo is a player who fights and leaves everything on the field until the very end."
The contract signing took place in the offices of Swietelsky-Faber GmbH with branch manager Alexander Heil. Due to the retirement of Lucas Surek, the company is now taking on the player partnership for the newcomer.
