During her getaway in the Maldives, she was apprehended. - Nathalie Volk faces a penalty ruling.
According to RTL, Nathalie Volk has been given a penalty order due to her involvement in the forgery of documents. The Frankfurt public prosecutor's office confirmed this to the TV station, stating: "For Nathalie Volk, who is accused of forging documents, the public prosecutor's office has ordered a penalty order, which equates to 120 daily rates of 250 euros each." The confiscation of her vaccination certificate is also part of the order.
This penalty order is still not legally binding. If Volk accepts it, she will have a criminal record, which applies to sentences that last for at least 90 days. The girlfriend of billionaire Frank Otto (66) had her court hearing for the vaccination certificate scandal canceled at the end of March. She claimed to be sick and submitted a medical certificate.
When questioned by RTL, Volk, who is currently studying in Australia, chose not to provide any comments on the matter.
How Nathalie Volk was caught
The counterfeit vaccination certificate was discovered when she returned from the Maldives. Volk had earlier spent a romantic vacation in the island nation with her then-partner, Frankfurt entrepreneur Samuel Azarev (26), in January 2022.
During passport control in Frankfurt/M., an observant officer noticed that the batch number on her vaccination sticker was incorrect. As a result, Volk was temporarily detained by the federal police.
