The tournament kicks off on June 14 with Germany taking on Scotland in Munich (9 p.m.).

Training for the German national team will commence on May 26, with the players gathering in Blankenhain in the Weimar region until May 31.

Following their time in Blankenhain, Nagelsmann and the squad will make their way to Herzogenaurach in Franconia, where they'll set up camp for the European Championship.

NBA Coach Herbert to Offer Nagelsmann Advice Before Euros

Nagelsmann must submit his final squad by June 7th at the latest.

In preparation for the event, Nagelsmann is reaching out to world champion basketball coach Gordon Herbert (65) for some words of wisdom.

Gordon Herbert (r.) celebrates the World Cup title with his players

Herbert is a big admirer of Nagelsmann and has kept tabs on his progress for some time now.

The specifics of their meeting, such as date and location, haven't been confirmed yet.

Herbert's resume includes leading the German national basketball team to a World Cup victory in September 2023, as they outscored Serbia 83-77 in the final.

Since then, he's been in high demand, making appearances at Ispo and a DFL coaches' conference, among others.

Besides his sit-down with Nagelsmann, Herbert is also eager to tour the stadium during the Euros: "On July 1, the squad will convene in Munich to prep for the Olympics. The next day, a round of 16 match is set for the same venue. I'm hoping we can all visit the stadium as a group."

Given the schedule, it's uncertain whether the German soccer and basketball squads will cross paths at the stadium on July 2nd, as the former will be facing the winners of Group E while the latter will be battling a group's third-placed finisher (A, B, C, or D).
