Musical updates from Las Vegas: Minogue's performance crashes the web, Luke Bryan's last gigs, and Corey Taylor's concert appearance.
The fans of Kylie Minogue throughout the world didn't only buy all available tickets and package deals for her first Las Vegas Strip residency in mere six hours after the sale started on Tuesday, they even caused chaos on the website. Anyone trying to purchase tickets would be informed that the queue length was "over 700 hours."
Kylie Minogue, aged 55, is planning to start a series of performances at the new venue called Voltaire at The Venetian from November 3 till January 27, 2024. This venue has the capacity for only 1,000 fans, which makes it her most personal concert experience in over a decade. The ticket prices varied from $200, while travel packages, including tables for two to eight people, set at least $2,500. However, the only available chances to witness Minogue in Las Vegas now are via third-party ticket reseller sites, where the costs skyrocket.
On Stubhub.com, for instance, tickets for November 4, the second night of her performance, are listed at $1,620 each, which is more than eight times their original price.
In other Las Vegas news, Luke Bryan informed that he would conclude his Resorts World residency, "Luke Bryan: Vegas," after nearly two years. His last six dates are scheduled for December 29, 30, and 31, and January 3, 5, and 6. Tickets will be made available on August 18 at AXS.com, accompanied by VIP packages.
Apart from this, Corey Taylor, a member of the metal band Slipknot, will entertain the audience at the Brooklyn Bowl Vegas on September 29. The purpose of his visit is to promote his album, "CMF2". Tickets, ranging from $35 to $75, are already available via brooklynbowl.com/las-vegas/events.
The Punk Rock Museum will be celebrating Joe Strummer's birthday commencing August 19, hosting a special event in his memory at the Triple Down bar. Music performances would be done by DJs JR Ska Boss and Selecta Scream, with "other surprises."
As a part of the birthday tribute, the museum will also put on display Strummer's 1966 Fender Telecaster, his original handwritten lyrics, and other items on loan from the late frontman's estate. The deceased celebrated his 50th birthday via a heart attack in 2002; he would've been 71 years old on August 21.
