Train transportation - Munich's S-Bahn main line set for closure.
Next weekend, the Munich S-Bahn main line's renovation work will cause a halt in trains between Pasing and the main station. As per Deutsche Bahn, some S-Bahn trains will be redirected during this period. The tasks include track maintenance, point improvement, and signal box update at Ostbahnhof.
The disrupted S-Bahn lines S3 and S4 will terminate at the Pasing stop. The S1 will run every 20 to 40 minutes, directly from Moosach to the main station without halting at any intermediary stop. The S8 links the Pasing and Ostbahnhof stops with trains running every 10 minutes. The S2 operates between Petershausen and Heimeranplatz with a frequency of every half hour. The S7 exclusively runs between the main station and Giesing.
A replacement bus service will be available along the main line between Pasing and the main station. The buses will depart every 10 minutes. As alternate options, passengers can consider the U5 underground line, streetcar line 19, and bus line 130.
Deutsche Bahn has also notified route closures on the second main line and Sendlinger Spange for the Whitsun weekend.
