Critical wounds - Mother attacks four-year-old with a knife.
A mom (35) attacked her little girl earlier today in a residential building in Burghausen, causing critical harm. The four-year-old's wounds from the knife pierced deeply into her, including on her face and neck.
The police station in Mühldorf am Inn is currently probing the case with approval from the Traunstein district attorneys' office. The police consider the mother as their main suspect, as she was captured right after the attack. The authorities are considering whether there's any grounds for placing her under arrest or detention.
♦The alarm was received around 3:50 AM. Medical staff desperately attended to the child, whose body had received severe cuts and stabbings. The mother was apprehended at the scene.
The victims of these life-threatening injuries were hurried to the hospital in an emergency vehicle. Medical professionals immediately rushed to add stitches and manage her risks on the operating table.
The authorities have asked that the accused mother, whose arrest is imminently expected, face a hearing at the court, based on suspicions of this heinous crime.
Investigators are currently researching the background and motivations of the supposed perpetrator.
