Mohegan, Pennsylvania opens smoke-free gaming lounge with Aristocrat Slots
Mohegan Sun Casino in the Poconos has partnered with Aristocrat Gaming to open a smoke-free gaming lounge.
Mohegan, the commercial gaming arm of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut, announced the official opening of the Aristocrat Gaming Lounge in Mohegan, Pennsylvania on Friday at its Poconos hotel. Located within the resort’s hotel entrance, the 2,000 square meter facility features 55 of the latest slot games from leading game manufacturer Aristocrat.

Notable games in the smokeless slots section include long-standing classics Dragon Link, Lightning Link and Buffalo, as well as increasingly popular new titles such as Triple Supreme Extreme, Mo Mummy and Whiskers wheel.
Clean Air Game Options
Mohegan Sun's main casino is 67,000 square feet and features more than 1,600 slot machines and nearly 60 live dealer tables. About half of the playing area is reserved for smoking, but cigars are prohibited.
Mohegan's Aristocrat Gaming Lounge follows a national trend among casinos to provide a cleaner air environment for players seeking a smoke-free room. Smoke-free Casino
Of Pennsylvania's 17 land-based casinos, only two don't use the state's indoor smoking license — Parx Casino in Bensalem, north of Philadelphia, and its sister satellite hotel, Parx Casino Shippensburg.
Parx Casino has been the richest casino in the state for many years.Parx won $588.2 million last year on its land-based slots and table games. The Wind Creek Bethlehem district, which allows smoking, came in second with $526.3 million.
Retail slot machine and table gaming revenue at Mohegan Sun Casino in Pennsylvania was about $211.2 million, down slightly from the company's 2022 revenue of $215.6 million.
When it opened in 2005, Mohegan Sun Casino in Pocono Downs was called Mohegan Sun. The casino was renamed Mohegan Sun Pocono in 2015, followed by a third name change in 2022 to its current name.
Mohegan, PA is located on 400 acres of rolling hills in Wilkes-Barre. The resort features a 238-room hotel, 20,000 square feet of meeting space, a variety of restaurants and bars, retail, nightlife and an on-site horse racing track.
The Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza is just a short drive away and regularly hosts major concerts and professional minor league hockey games.
