Minnesota casino winner beaten, robbed of $38,000, suspect arrested

Three Minnesota men are facing multiple charges after they allegedly beat and "robbed" an elderly casino winner outside his home over the weekend.

According to St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The victim won the money Saturday night at Treasure Island Resort and Casino in Welch, Minn., about 42 miles southeast of Mahtomedi. Police did not say whether the suspect followed the victim home from the casino.

As the violent attack unfolded, two female relatives of the victim rushed from nearby houses to help. One of the suspects is said to have pointed a gun at the woman. He ordered them to leave or he would shoot them, the report continued.

After the two suspects fled in a red pickup truck, the 67-year-old victim got into the vehicle and attempted to chase them.

The unnamed victim did not appear to be seriously injured despite being punched and kicked by the two robbers.

Three men arrested

Eventually, local police stopped the suspect's truck in Maplewood, about 12 miles from the crime scene.

Three men from Minnesota were arrested. The driver was Deangelo Romaine Jacox, 32, of Coon Rapids, and the two suspected robbers, a man from Bloomington ) and Tristin Tyler Jacox Mann, 32, of Golden Valley, who faced Multiple charges.

These include aiding and abetting aggravated robbery in the first degree, aiding and abetting aggravated robbery in the second degree, and aiding and abetting by threat of violence without regard to risk. The driver was also charged with fleeing police.

Two of the suspects appeared in Washington County District Court on Tuesday. Lewis' bond is set at $250,000. Jacox Mann's bond is set at $150,000.

The third suspect did not appear in court Tuesday due to a legal glitch. The Herald reported that the suspect was not charged before a deadline for a judge to sign an indictment, so he was initially released.

He was reportedly arrested again Tuesday night at his Coon Rapids residence. The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Wednesday.

It was unclear whether the three were still in custody Wednesday.
