This summer, Ferropolis will host an event for the final time. - Melt Festival comes to an end.
Melt Festival has managed to survive much longer than anyone expected, according to its organizers. To their fans, they express their gratitude, stating that they've always aimed to deliver unique experiences and a space where people can lose themselves in music and the night. Thanks to you all, they've achieved their vision.
Melt began in 1997 at Bernsteinsee in Brandenburg, but it's been held at Ferropolis in Gräfenhainichen, Saxony-Anhalt, for years now. The final installment of the festival will kick off at this location on July 11th.
The reason behind Melt's discontinuation is "unavoidable changes in the festival scene that are incompatible with the core of the festival," explains Festival Director Florian Czok.
A range of DJs, musicians, and artists are set to grace the final edition, such as DJ Koze, H.I.T., and James Blake.
After Melt, the organizers intend to continue hosting live events. However, these will not be branded as Melt and will incorporate new concepts.
