McLaren Opens 'Luxury Icon' Showcase at Wynn Las Vegas
New visitors to Wynn Las Vegas may have spotted a high-end car display joining the flashy Strip landmark. The McLaren Experience Center at this venue premiered approximately six weeks ago, but was officially inaugurated on Thursday, October 19th.
This auto showroom can be found near the sportsbook, Wynn Plaza Shops and Encore Theatre. It is backed by O'Gara of Beverly Hills, a dealership that sells new and pre-owned Bugattis and Rolls-Royces.
Tom O'Gara, the founder of O'Gara, remarked in a statement, "Las Vegas is one of the most thrilling spots on Earth, and we can't envision a more suitable location for the McLaren experience than Wynn Las Vegas." He added, "The level of anticipation for these symbolic high-performance automobiles is enormous, and we are elated to team up with McLaren to bring a singularly premium experience to the 'amusement capital of the world."
In spite of being open just six weeks, the McLaren Experience Center at Wynn Las Vegas has already welcomed over 17,000 visitors.
McLaren Spotlights Wynn's Links to the F1 Race
The McLaren Experience Center at Wynn Las Vegas was unveiled before the arrival of the Formula One's Las Vegas Grand Prix. This first visit to Las Vegas in more than four decades is scheduled for November 18th.
There's a lifelike model of a McLaren F1 car in the hotel's lobby. Although roped off for safety reasons, guests can still snap photos of the car. Wynn's involvement in the upcoming race goes further than that as it is one of the Strip casinos hosting costly race packages for VIPs.
The Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix Million Dollar All-Access Experience - a million dollars is indeed the price tag - offers seating for six guests at the race and related events, a four-night stay in a two-story, three-bedroom duplex at Encore, dinner for six at Delilah, spa treatments for each guest, golf at Wynn Golf Club for every individual, and so much more.
Wynn Las Vegas President Steve Weitman said, "Choosing the McLaren Experience to be a part of our retail offerings enables guests to engage with some of the world's most exceptional sports cars in a unique setting." He added, "The McLaren Experience Center, teaming up with O'Gara, is the optimal venue to enjoy the 'Premier Racing Week,' exclusive to Wynn."
McLaren Has Something for Everyone
This isn't the first connection between Wynn and a luxury sports car brand: Wynn previously housed a Ferrari dealership, which closed in 2015.
The McLaren Experience Center will be operational until spring 2024, meaning it's not a permanent partnership for the manufacturer, O'Gara, or Wynn. Visitors can purchase 2023 McLarens in the 2,500-square-foot store.
The median price for a brand-new McLaren 720S is $310,500, as stated by Car and Driver. While this cost is hardly affordable for the average person, the McLaren Experience Center at Wynn Las Vegas still caters to everyone, providing an immersive technology experience and McLaren-themed merchandise.
