Former member of the Beatles - McCartney's band Wings tour bus is now auctioned.

Once, Paul McCartney, a former Beatle, toured Europe with his new band, Wings, in a vibrantly painted double-decker bus. Recently, this historical open-top tour bus was sold for 186,000 pounds (217,650 euros) at the Classic Cars Auctions upon request. The vehicle is a treasure of rock 'n' roll history. The bus's exterior was influenced by the Beatles' album covers, "Yellow Submarine" and "Magical Mystery Tour," according to a statement.

After the Beatles disbanded, McCartney created Wings and went on a tour across Europe in 1972. The "Wings Over Europe" tour, with 25 concerts, was both commercially and musically successful. Wings performed in Munich, Frankfurt/Main, Düsseldorf, and West Berlin.

The group also invited their partners and children on their 12,000 kilometer trip. Since they were traveling long distances, they custom-designed the bus's interior to ensure comfort and space for their children to play. Built in 1953, the vehicle was renovated in 2022.

In an interview, McCartney explained that they anticipated good weather. "However, the thought of being trapped on a bus the whole time, going from city to city, hotel to hotel, didn't seem very appealing. Therefore, we decided to tour around in an open-top bus and bask in the sunlight while traveling from one place to another."
