St. Pauli inhales deeply! - Massive progress due to elevation in rank
The St. Pauli holidays have concluded, but the excitement for the Bundesliga remains high.
Beforehand, there's the preparation process. However, this has been postponed significantly. The FC St. Pauli professionals haven't taken as much vacation and recuperation time since 2010.
Campaign commencement with six weeks of preparation is scheduled for July 8 by the sporting team lead by sporting director Andreas Bornemann (52) and coach Fabian Hürzeler (31). Only 46 days until that day.
Long break thanks to Bundesliga promotion!
Loads of time for vacations. However, not without regulations. All players were handed over fitness blueprints for the training-free period. Additionally, some of them - such as Eric Smith (Sweden) - still have international matches to participate in during early June. Several plans are still pending.
There'll also be a training camp during the preparation period. The date is yet to be fixed. Differently from previous years, it won't be in South Tyrol (St. Leonhard) since the desired hotel is not longer accessible due to the postponement. Instead, they may likely go to Austria.
The initial competitive game in the 2024/2025 season is projected for around the third weekend in August (16 to 18th). The DFB Cup's first round is the set commencement date. The draw will occur on June 1st (6 PM, Sat.) as part of the ARD Sportschau.
The initial Bundesliga points will be competed for during the last weekend in August (25th to 27th).
