Ten men disappeared simultaneously. - Massive commotion at the cultural hub.
Following the extension of Linus Zimmer's contract, niclas Muller and Zak Paulo Piplica, there are now three players in Lok Leipzig's squad with extended agreements. This move means that ten other players will be leaving before the team's last game against Zwickau on Sunday.
Significant personnel changes at Lok Leipzig!
The players in question are: Isa Dogan - the team's goalkeeper, Jannis Held, Maximilian Schütt, Luca Sirch, Eun-soo Gong, Jesse Sierck, Jan Löhmannsröben, Osman Atilgan, Riccardo Grym, and Julian Weigel.
Wachsmuth remarked, "The change is vital as the season has demonstrated that we can't continue with the current team and a fresh start is needed."
So far, there have only been one new player signed - Alexander Siebeck (30, from BFC). Head Coach Jochen Seitz and Wachsmuth have a lot more work to do ahead of the June 17th commencement of training.
The new signings requirements are clear. Wachsmuth stated, "We desire a high-quality team, but more significantly, we want a united squad with robust character. Our main goal for the incoming players will be adaptability, allowing them to play in various roles. By achieving this, we will have an energetic and attractive team capable of playing an intense game."
The new team will have a maximum of 20 outfield players and three goalkeepers, however, a tight budget might lead to even fewer players.
