Following a brief 12-month period, - Márquez bids farewell to the team once more.
The underwhelming display at HSV (1:4) might have been the last game in club colors for defender Iván Márquez (29).
Indications are mounting that Márquez will part ways with FCN after a mere year, despite having inked a contract till 2026. The Spaniard, who migrated to the Valznerweiher with ambitions of being a leading player despite dealing with a language barrier, seldom met his targets.
Prior to early February, Marquez's standing at the club was reasonably decent. But after the 2:1 loss in the Franconian derby against Fürth, he was outplayed and eventually lost his regular spot to budding player Finn Jeltsch (17). The defender was left fuming.
A look behind the curtain
See you later, Dieter
Once-sporting director Dieter Hecking (59) made his final appearance at the Nuremberg outpost on Wednesday. He returned the company vehicle.
Goodbye, Felix
As anticipated, Lohkemper's stint at the club has come to an end. Attacker Felix Lohkemper (29) took his leave from the club on his Instagram account. He managed to feature in 67 games for FCN and notched 11 goals.
Seyhan Yigit's move
Seyhan Yigit (20), a promising player, has departed from the club and joined third-division side Waldhof Mannheim. The former Turkish youth international made 47 regional league appearances for the minnows.
