A nineteen-year-old mortician desired to return the keys to him. - Marie sadly passed away in the residence of her former partner.
Law enforcement has thoroughly searched the house at number 46 on a small hillside, uncovering even the tiniest traces of DNA on the doors. "The arrest warrant relies on the hypothesis that the victim was murdered in the suspect's residence," explains Thomas Rauscher, senior public prosecutor. "Evidence of blood was also discovered in the house." According to the Mittelbayerische Zeitung, the woman was choked to death.
Four days after her body was discovered in the parking garage of the Toom DIY store in Regensburg, new details have emerged: when she died, Marie, a mortician, had received her final certificate from vocational school with outstanding grades. She had previously passed her secondary school leaving certificate with a perfect score.
The news outlets reveal that this final certificate presentation served as the last evidence of her being alive.
On the same day, she is said to have driven to Thomas B.'s place in Maxhütte-Haidhof to return the front door keys to him following their breakup. Her car was last seen there late on Friday. However, it's reported that she never left the yellow house alive.
Just behind the building, an overgrown path winds through the bushes: this might be where the suspect dragged the body to his ex-girlfriend's car and then drove the 26 kilometers on the A93 to the DIY store parking lot.
It's worth noting that Marie G. was registered at a nearby gym. Thomas B., it seems, was unaware of this.
The mystery remains as to why the driver's side window of the Corsa was smashed from the outside when the car was found on Saturday morning. There were also rumors of a struggle inside the car.
As per the Bavarian media group, the victim's cell phone has since disappeared. It was disconnected from the network on Friday and had last connected to a radio mast in Maxhütte-Haidhof.
Thomas B. vehemently denies the charge of manslaughter. He has been in custody since Sunday night.
