The incident happened on Wednesday at approximately 4:30 p.m., according to the Saarland police's statement today. After the crime, the unknown man quickly fled on foot towards Merzig.
The cashier was terrified, but a customer who was at the gas station was unharmed.
The suspect is reported to be in his mid-twenties, stand tall at around 1.85 meters, with an average build. He was wearing a white hoodie, jeans, and sneakers. It's said that he spoke the Saarland dialect.
The police in Saarlouis are asking for any witnesses who saw the crime happen or know anything about the perpetrator to contact them at 06831-9010.
