At approximately 8:40 pm, an emergency call was placed reporting a Senegalese man attacking a 41-year-old German man with a knife in the small town of Gelenau (population 3,000). Authorities promptly dispatched emergency personnel to tend to the victim's severe arm injuries.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment while the assailant escaped on foot. Witnesses to the violent incident provided detailed descriptions of the suspect to aid in the manhunt.
Within just over an hour, police located the intoxicated Senegalese man near the crime scene and managed to apprehend him with the assistance of a special unit. Due to his inebriated state, he was then transferred to a specialist hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, further investigation revealed that the suspect had previously harassed multiple women in the vicinity of a nearby supermarket, adding to the severity of the situation.
