A 41-year-old lady from Wiesmoor was making her way to Hesel and intended to join the A28, traveling towards Oldenburg, at the Filsum intersection. Somehow, she failed to notice an oncoming vehicle from Ostrhauderfehn, which had four occupants, and rammed into it head-on.

The 41-year-old driver endured significant injuries, while her 26-year-old passenger from Wiesmoor sustained only minor wounds. In the Ostrhauderfehn car, the 54-year-old driver, the 47-year-old female passenger, and the 55-year-old male passenger all suffered major injuries, while the 17-year-old female passenger experienced insignificant injuries.

Emergency medical services dispatched multiple ambulances and an emergency doctor to attend to the injured. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
