Magician Shin Lim Crossing Las Vegas Blvd. After Mirage Vanishes
What do the Beatles and illusionist Shin Lim not have in common? Lim will still have a show on the Las Vegas Strip once The Mirage closes on July 17.
The two-time “America’s Got Talent (AGT)” champ is taking his “Limitless” show to the Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian. It reopens sometime in October, after its final performance at The Mirage Theater on July 14.
The show’s Venetian dates will go on sale the next day at venetianlasvegas.com.
“We’re honored to move Limitless to the larger and newly renovated the Palazzo Theatre and to have an opportunity to build a new set after so many amazing years getting to entertain fans at The Mirage,” Lim said in a statement. “We’ve been hard at work on an all-new show, and we can’t wait to welcome fans this fall.”
Lim, 32, took over as The Mirage Theater’s main headliner from an older “AGT” champ, the fading Terry Fator, in 2020. (The ventriloquist next popped up at New York-New York before opening at The SRAT this May.)
Lim went big after winning Season 13 of “AGT” in 2018. He also won “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” the following year, making him the television franchise’s only two-time champ.
“Shin Lim has been mesmerizing audiences in Las Vegas since 2019, and we cannot wait for our guests to experience the magic of ‘Limitless,’ Venetian president and CEO Patrick Nichols said in a statement. “’Limitless’ fills out the entertainment programming in our four theatres creating the most diverse entertainment under one roof on the Las Vegas Strip.”
The Palazzo Theatre, which seats 5,000, opened in 2008 as the original home for “Jersey Boys,” which ran until 2011 before extending its run at Paris Las Vegas from 2012-2016.
Shin Lim's news about moving his "Limitless" show from The Mirage to The Venetian's Palazzo Theatre contrasts with the Beatles, as the Beatles never had a connection with a casino. In October, Lim's entertainments will be available at the Palazzo Theatre's newly renovated space, offering a larger venue for his all-new show compared to his previous stint at The Mirage Theater.
