Basketball game is on. - Luka Doncic leads Dallas to victory in NBA playoffs.

The Dallas Mavericks clinched a victorious win in the NBA playoffs away at the Minnesota Timberwolves, moving them a step closer to the final series of the North American basketball league. The team triumphed in the second match of the Western Conference Finals with a score of 109-108 (46:60), thanks to superstar Luka Doncic's game-winning shot in the final three seconds.

In the upcoming games, both scheduled in Dallas, the Mavs have the potential to reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 2011. As their champion back then, Dirk Nowitzki led the team to victory.

Doncic was the standout player: within the last three seconds, the Slovenian drained a three-pointer to beat Rudy Gobert, awarded this season as the finest defender in the league. Furthermore, Doncic recorded his fifth triple-double of the playoffs with 32 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds. Former Dallas favorite Nowitzki swiftly commented on the final shot, "Wow."

Praise from the mentor

"I was attempting to get to my preferred spot and take a shot in reverse, I believe in that shot," Doncic said of the game-winning three-pointer. "Much like you have observed, he loves that vibe, he doesn't avoid it. He had an excellent performance throughout the game," Jason Kidd, the Mavs' head coach, commended his team's leader.

Similarly, Kyrie Irving, Doncic's teammate, also played impressively. He tallied 13 of his 20 points in the final quarter, which included a three-pointer before Doncic's game-winning three-pointer. The Mavericks managed to reverse their odds, finishing the game with a 30:22 lead in the final quarter after trailing by 16 points in the third part of it. Naz Reid (23 points) secured the highest score for the Timberwolves.
