Upscale life - Lottery winner Chico reveals his bank statement, stating that 25,000 euros per month is insufficient for him.
The popular lottery winner, known as Kürsat Yildirim or "Chico," won an astonishing sum of €9.9 million back in 2022. But surprisingly, despite his immense fortune, Chico and his girlfriend, Candice Newgas, encounter money difficulties towards the close of certain months. They shed light on their financial situation in the Sat.1 documentary, "Talking About Money."
The Lottery Millionaire Chico Reveals His Bank Statement
Their combined monthly income amounts to €24,200, with Chico's earnings and Candice's smaller financial contributions (from her primary job and as an influencer). When it comes to housing, the two maintain a minimalist lifestyle. Currently, they do not have their own residence and live with his parents and Candice. They pay only €750 for rent. Nonetheless, their car expenses are substantial. They need to cover the costs of their luxurious vehicles and their insurance. This totals €6,153 annually. To keep their cars as pristine as possible, they also invest €600 each year for regular car washes.
Expenses don't stop there. Private health insurance also weighs heavily on Chico. It demands €1,437. Chico also remains engaged with the lottery. Even though he has demonstrated his luck, he can't resist the challenge. Therefore, his lottery expenses mount up to over €1,700.
He's Shelling Out Additional Funds
There are additional expenses, such as a cell phone contract, electricity, internet, and retirement plans. In total, Chico and Candice shoulder fixed costs of €12,535 per month. This leaves them with roughly €13,000 of disposable funds.
Despite this, as they reveal in the documentary, their spending habits can sometimes push them close to financial constraints. They spent over €3,000 on Christmas presents alone. Furthermore, they enjoy frequent sauna sessions, eat-outs (€383), and regular shopping sprees for clothes (€3,925).
A vacation further strains their finances. As depicted in the documentary, Chico digs into his pockets and contributes an extra €7,000 to their household budget, making their trip to Switzerland possible. Let's hope Chico's continued luck with lotteries prevails.
