Arne Slot is set to replace Jurgen Klopp as the new coach for the Reds, but the English team appears to still need an additional coach to focus on standards. This unique search is happening through the job platform, LinkedIn.
Liverpool has published a job offer for a "set-piece coach" or "standards coach" for their first men's team. You can find the job advertisement here.
This position is already held by other Premier League teams like Arsenal FC, who have Nicolas Jover (42) on board. Their success is evident, as they scored more goals from set pieces than any other team last season (22).
Now, the "Reds" want to follow in Arsenal's footsteps!
The job advertisement mentions, "We're looking for a coach with a UEFA A license (or equivalent) to support our first team as a coach for set pieces. In this role, you'll be a tactical specialist responsible for optimizing the team's performance in such situations."
The description continues, "This requires in-depth analysis, meticulous planning, and the ability to train offensive and defensive game strategies."
So what's the pay like?
This position offers a competitive salary, 25 days' vacation (plus 8 public holidays and the opportunity to earn up to five additional days), and a defined contribution pension scheme.
Plus, you'll have a stunning view of the River Mersey from the training ground! If that's not a perk...
The incoming coach will collaborate with Arne Slot (previously from Feyenoord Rotterdam). Slot is taking over from Klopp on June 1.
During an interview, Klopp spoke highly of Slot, stating, "I like the way his teams play soccer. I don't know him personally, but I've heard from many people that he's a good guy."
In fact, Klopp even sang an Arne Slot chant after the season finale and encouraged the fans, "Imagine the next season starts and you don't wait to see what happens. You welcome the new coach like you welcomed me. You go all in from day one."
And the new free-kick coach should definitely go all in too!
