Wolfgang W., a 67-year-old children's book author, was stabbed. - Life sentence for murdering daughter pronounced by judge
A couple was convicted of murdering children's book writer Wolfgang W. (deceased at 67) on July 18th by the Freiburg Regional Court on a recent Friday. According to Presiding Judge Lisa Schmenger, Ina T. had instilled a strong animosity towards her parents before committing the crime. Ina testified that her actions were fueled by her anger and desire for revenge. She claimed that her father had been abusing her for years.
However, the court could not find enough evidence to support her allegations of abuse.
Both defendants admitted to their part in the crime. "The defendants intended to kill," stated the judge. They were found guilty despite their consumption of alcohol, cocaine, and other narcotics before the incident. The defendant was diagnosed with a personality disorder.
The court added that the attack had been meticulously planned: Armed with a large kitchen knife and a hatchet, the perpetrators approached the apartment in the early hours of the morning, completely catching the victims off guard.
Ina allegedly stabbed the 67-year-old multiple times while her daughter hit her father over the head with a hatchet. The unaware victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The 64-year-old mother was transported to the hospital with severe injuries and underwent hours of surgery. She's left traumatized in every aspect.
The verdict is still provisional.
