Dresden's negotiations face difficulties. - Lewald and Kraulich performing as a duo at Essen?
The fact that the third-division competition is significant is undeniable. Consequently, the two central defenders are in high demand at Rot-Weiß Essen.
Essen presently has four central defenders on contract for the forthcoming season, with one set to be transferred and one fresh from the U19.
Essen aims to boost its roster by acquiring two more central defenders in Dresden.
Kraulich appears to be a promising prospect for RWE recruitment. Reports indicate little remains to be negotiated.
Lewald's case is more complex. Despite several contract offers from Stgd., he has yet to respond. Dynamo, on the other hand, wants to retain him at all costs, particularly since Lewald played well after a lacklustre performance in the Saxony Cup final versus Aue.
The situation is unfolding right before the eyes of new coach, Thomas Stamm (41), and sports director, Thomas Brendel (48). They must now decide promptly if they wish to continue the negotiation process with Lewald.
Dynamo contemplates alternatives
The benefits of signing Lewald are his speed and goal-scoring ability. The central defender netted seven goals for standards this season. A free agent, Lewald aligns perfectly with RWE's strategy.
Note: Dynamo Dresden's new coach-sports director pair - Stamm and Brendel - faces several critical decisions that require swift action.
