He once participated in the Bundesliga. - Leverkusen encounters a nightmare with Lookman.
Bayer Leverkusen was defeated 0:3 by Atalanta Bergamo in the Europa League final. All three goals were netted by Ademola Lookman, who used to play for Leipzig. When Leverkusen signed the Englishman, they paid an astounding 18 million euros for him. However, he failed to meet expectations, as he managed only five goals and four assists in 24 matches for the Bundesliga club. Additionally, Lookman was frequently injured and had to be loaned out twice. Despite this, he also didn't shine at Fulham and Leicester City. In the summer of 2022, Leipzig sold him to Atalanta Bergamo for 9.35 million.
During the Europa League final, Lookman demonstrated why Leipzig had paid so much for him in the first place.
