Identify the adversaries. - Leipzig player makes witty statement about their win.

"We've regained our former prowess," stated national player Franz Semper (26) on the Dyn mic. "We're highly driven to end the season strong and head into the break with a positive outlook, despite no longer being in contention for Europe."

Waggish remark from the national player

Presently in 8th place, Leipzig maintains a decent point ratio. Gummersbach and Hanover, at least, are within striking distance - and they intend to target them more intensely next season. Semper: "We're showcasing our plans for next season to them right now."

Leipzig's final three games of the season involve away trips to runner-ups SC Magdeburg and record champions THW Kiel, followed by a home game against Rhein-Neckar Löwen. Yet Semper's newly acquired confidence prompts a playful statement from him, who has bagged 121 goals this term: "We're aiming to collect another six points."

A solid track record exists: Leipzig has previously triumphed against both Magdeburg (in 2021) and Kiel (in 2023). They've also secured three points from the top two clubs during the first half of the season.

Be cautioned after Semper's warning-call in the coming matches.
