This is unexpected news. - Leipzig appoints new coach
Saban Uzun (37), who guided the RB women's soccer team to the Bundesliga, recently took on a new job. The German will be in charge of the men's team at SV Licht-Loidl Lafnitz, currently playing in Austria's second division.
Uzun signed a contract in Styria until 2026. The team concluded last season in the middle of the table.
Previously, Uzun led the women's team of RB league-side into the Bundesliga and managed to keep them there this spring. Before signing with Leipzig in 2022, he had coached the women's teams of VfL Wolfsburg II and VfL Sindelfingen.
Now, he's making a shift towards the men's game...
