The Austrian beverage giant Red Bull is set to join the English traditional club's second-tier team, as stated in the club's official announcement. This collaboration will begin in the summer season, and includes a "long-term agreement" along with a minority stake. Additionally, Red Bull will be the new sponsor for the team's jersey.
Red Bull's CEO, Oliver Mintzlaff (48), expressed excitement about this partnership, noting that it aligns with their goal of bringing Leeds United back to the Premier League and competing in the top football league worldwide. He referred to Leeds as one of the "biggest clubs in England," with a history that resonates with them.
On the other hand, Club CEO Paraag Marathe expressed his delight with this partnership. He believes that Red Bull shares their deep respect for Leeds United and intends to use this as a foundation to create a successful future for the club. Moreover, he described this partnership as a "historic milestone that will guide the club to fully utilize its potential."
It's worth highlighting that Red Bull already has various investments in football, including the German Bundesliga, the MLS, and Brazilian club, Red Bull Bragantino. Mario Gomez (38), a former international player, serves as the Technical Director for Red Bull's football clubs.
