Bad Bentheim: Traffic disrupted on A30 - Law enforcement officials recover stolen vehicle.
During a border patrol check along the internal border on the A30, police stopped a car sporting suspicious Spanish license plates. Inspecting the vehicle, police were puzzled by a damaged side window and discovered that the Spanish plates were a cheap addition to the original Dutch ones underneath.
Further findings during the check included a vehicle identification number match with a car theft report in the Netherlands. They also discovered that the Polish driver, aged 34, wasn't legally allowed to operate the car, lacking a valid driver's license.
Following these discoveries, the car was confiscated. The Dutch authorities are now examining if the driver had any involvement in the car theft.
