Police in Hesse Seize Criminal - Law enforcement officer is accused of firing at his girlfriend (23)
Around 8:25 PM on a Wednesday evening, the police department started receiving urgent phone calls. People in Seelenberger Weg within Mauloff district of Weilrod reported hearing a shot being fired. The responders reacted swiftly but couldn't save the victim; she was already deceased.
A federal police officer was also present at the scene and was taken into custody without offering any resistance. His firearm was confiscated as well, believed to be the weapon used in this incident. Authorities are currently examining how the gunshot was fired.
The accused will have to appear before Frankfurt district court today, where he will be questioned concerning the murder allegations. His potential crime is considered manslaughter.
