Severe injury sustained by traveler - Law enforcement authorities searching for a pair who assaulted each other in RE 8.

A train journey from Cologne-Ehrenfeld to Rheydt became a nightmare for a passenger. Shadowy figures in dark clothing started abusing him while he was reading in a compartment. The pair then pursued the man, viciously attacking him with fists and feet. The hapless victim sustained grievous injuries.

The Federal Police have gone public with their search for the assailants.
