No laughing matter. - Lautern has a better record than Leverkusen.
The story: Bayer Leverkusen and FCK's squad values are 594.55 million euros and 23.8 million euros respectively.
In the Bundesliga, Leverkusen has scored 89 goals, allowed 24 and totaled 90 points, while Kaiserslautern has netted 59 goals, conceded 64 goals and gotten 39 points in League 2.
Surprisingly, the latter has faster players!
Speed is regarded as a Bayer specialty—their crew blasts toward goals or tosses in crosses without opposition following them.
This season, Winger No. 1 Jeremie Frimpong (23 years old) chalked up 35.96 km/h, Jonathan Tah (28) slightly trailed at 35.81, Odilon Kossounou (23) ran at 34.95, and Florian Wirtz (21) surged at 34.61.
Kaiserslautern's Kenny Prince Redondo (29) topped them all at 36.17 km/h, teammates Aaron Opoku (36.02) and Tymotheus Puchacz (35.65) weren't far behind, and even Richmond Tachie (27)', Jean Zimmer (32) the captain, and Ragnar Ache (25) the striker, have clocked in at over 35 km/h.
He's not concerned about pace, Redondo clarifies: "It's not a matter of catching up to them. It's simply their ability to maintain that pace for 90 minutes or even 120 which is staggering."
Redondo remains optimistic: "The duels matter. If statistics say I can match their speed, then maybe I can. But it all depends on how we prepare for the game."
Both teams should be well-rested before any upcoming games. Redondo shares: "I intentionally stay up later the day before to take a long nap during evening matches. That really helps me."
Not much difference among these classic Bundesliga characters. Speed, endurance, victories and hope—they're all the same.
