Grill Henssler transforms into a dating program. - Laura Wontorra will be partnered with HIM.
In a special episode of Vox's Mother's Day show, the focus shifted towards matchmaking on Sunday night. Joined by TV presenter Marijke Amado (70) and her son Kay Tomlow (38), streamer king Jens "Knossi" Knossalla (37), and actor Oliver Mommsen (55) with their moms, the night was full of excitement - not just in the kitchen.
Marijke Amado wasted no time in bringing up the topic of her son's marital status at the start of the show. She confessed, "My son Kay is still single." It seems she's eager to see her son married, evident by her statement, "I want a grandchild!"
During their preparation of the "Maastrichter Allerlei" starter, Marijke tried to set up a matchmaking session by asking host Laura Wontorra (35), "Are you still single?" Laura laughed it off, comparing the situation to the dating show "The Bachelor", wherein the mom observes the potential girlfriend. Marijke shared her thoughts about a new TV project with her son, saying, "We could go on a dating show together. Because I need another one too!"
Meanwhile, Laura found it difficult to initiate a conversation with Knossi's mother, Ida. No matter how hard Wontorra tried, she couldn't engage Ida in meaningful conversation. Ida was focused on the main course and kept her responses to Laura short. Knossi commented on his mother's distraction, saying "It's really cool when she distracts you, isn't it?"
Mother and son duo, Laura and Ida, shared a light moment at the end of the show. Ida proved to be the ice queen, remarkably dismissive of Laura's efforts to chat. Recalling the evening, Laura said with a laugh, "I've never been so charmingly dissed on the show as by Knossi's mother."
In a tight competition, host Steffen Henssler lost to his challengers with a score of 101 to 106 points.
