Las Vegas teen murder suspect arrested for previous robbery, police reveal
A teenager accused of a murder near the Las Vegas Strip has also been charged in connection with an armed robbery of expensive merchandise at a Las Vegas luxury store.
Robtravion Lee, 19, allegedly stole approximately $20,000 worth of items from the Christian Louboutin boutique at The Shops at Crystals on the Las Vegas Strip in June.
On June 30, Li and another unnamed suspect entered the store and began collecting wallets and handbags. They apparently checked the items to see if they had safety tags on them.
As they collected about 10 items, a clerk became suspicious and asked if they would put the items on the counter.
Lee then allegedly pulled out a gun and told employees to close the door so the gangsters couldn't escape, Las Vegas TV station KLAS reported.
Police said Lee pointed a gun at the workers and ordered them to open their car doors, allowing the two suspects to flee to a nearby car.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers investigating the crime discovered that several stolen items were sold to a pawn shop on West Sahara Boulevard, police said.
Items for sale also include Louis Vuitton bags.
The successful thief
The employee told police the men were "frequent theft suspects." They allegedly stole items from Louis Vuitton between June 14 and 29. The employee provided police with a photo of the suspect taken at the time of the incident at his store.
One of the men in the photo has been identified as Tymere Snead, 23. He was on probation for his alleged role in a retail theft ring, KLAS reported.
A review of Sneed's social media revealed a photo of him and Lee in a car containing multiple Christian Louboutin handbags and backpacks, police said.
Controversy about sex workers
On July 7, police responded to a call in the pawn shop parking lot and found Sneed shot to death. He was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Minutes before the shooting, police said Lee and Snead were talking in the parking lot before Lee pulled out a gun and shot him. According to KLAS, the couple got into an argument over a sex worker who worked for Sneed.
In Lee's apartment, police found clothes similar to those used in the Christian Louboutin robbery, a gun that appeared to have been used in the robbery and fatal shooting, and a gun belonging to Christian Louboutin. Christian Louboutin handbag.
Li was arrested on July 28. The charges include three counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, one count of burglary with a firearm, conspiracy to commit robbery and open murder with a deadly weapon. He remains in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. Bail has not been released on the murder charge. His next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 15.
