Las Vegas Music Roundup: The Venetian Transforms into Daryl's House, EDC's New Year's Eve EDM Music Festival

Daryl Hall (of & Oates fame) brings his popular show "Live from Daryl's House" to the Venetian at 7:30 p.m. November 8th. His special guest will be Todd Rundgren. The online music jam series has given Hall's career a new lease of life. Tickets start at $59 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster starting at 10am on Friday, August 18th.

The new EDM festival from Insomniac, creators of Electric Daisy Carnival, will premiere simultaneously on the Las Vegas Strip and in Los Angeles on December 30 and 31.

Forever Midnight will feature the likes of Solumun, ANOTR, Eric Prydz, Sofi Tukker, KyleWalker and more, with all headliners performing in both cities to celebrate New Year's Eve. The venue in Vegas is the new LV FestPark, the space left behind by the abandoned Transfix and Enchant art and light shows behind Resorts World.

Tickets for Forever Midnight Las Vegas will go on sale starting Tuesday, August 15th at 12pm at insom.co/FMLV.

When We Were Young Music Festival returns to the Las Vegas festival grounds on October 21st and 22nd, with headline acts Blink 182 and Green Day on both nights, is hosting its second annual series of “Sideshows.” Rather than taking place on the Emo Nostalgia Festival stage, these events are held at venues across Las Vegas, as follows:

Thursday, October 19th Fit For A King performs with The Devil Wears Prada, Counterparts and Landmvrks at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay

Friday, October 20

Sum 41 and Bowling for Soup at the Brooklyn Bowl; Some Company at House of Blues; Gym Class Heroes at Pearl at the Palms

Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22

"EMO Night in Brooklyn" at the Brooklyn Bowl.

Tickets for these sideshows will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday at shop.ticketmasterpartners.com/wwwy.

Finally, Minneapolis' Hold Steady is scheduled to play its first Las Vegas show in nearly a decade on October 7 at the Brooklyn Bowl. The show was opened by Built to Spill and celebrated the band's 20th anniversary. Tickets are $40 and are on sale now through brooklynbowl.com with prices starting at $40.
